We were delighted to train our first Southport Learning Trust Careers Champions from all our Trust schools on 8th July 2002 at Maghull High School. Our aim is to equip champions to educate and signpost their peers to the thousands of career opportunities in the different sectors available in our city region and beyond. We were delighted to be supported by the Liverpool City Region Careers Hub who provided employer experts from the different sectors for the students to learn from and National Careers Week who filmed the day to share this national first with other schools. The students were equipped with materials to support them in this programme which will take place over the next year in schools. It was wonderful to bring such ambitious and enthusiastic students together from our schools.
