Welcome to Southport Learning Trust

I am delighted to welcome you to Southport Learning Trust and share our vision and values and clarify the means by which we can achieve our aims.

We are a developing Trust established in 2017 for the sole purpose of supporting school improvement in our local family of schools and contributing to the concept of system leadership. This is an exciting phase of our development as we look to grow our central Trust provision to support all our schools in raising standards through common principles.

Our driver is a firm belief that collaboration is the best way to achieve this aim and we have generated evidence of success in our record to date.

Our desire is for strong  leadership and Local Governing Bodies focused whole heartedly on improving the life chances of children supported by an experienced and diverse Trust Board as set out within the parameters of our scheme of delegation. All schools growing into our family of schools are expected to commit to the spirit of collaboration and generosity that characterises our Trust.

We are determined to demonstrate that local schools, working together with talented leadership and staff, can create the conditions for all our students, no matter what their starting point, to achieve the combination of skills, qualities, qualifications and aptitudes that will enable them to thrive in a complex world.

I am privileged as an experienced educational leader, who has always believed and driven local and national collaboration, to be leading the Trust supported by a highly skilled Trust board and Headteachers, central team, senior and middle leaders who are fully engaged with supporting our vision.
